Low-C, non-temperable, corrosion-resistant austenitic Cr-Ni steel, non-magnetic in the annealed condition, slightly magnetic if cold worked.
Good weldability and resistance to intercrystalline corrosion.
Excellent tenacity even in extremely low temperatures. May be electronically polished.
